Eclos Anti-Aging Skin Care Starter Trial Review

I starting using their 6 piece Anti-Aging Starter kit on Friday 6/7/13.  I got a great deal at Rite Aid.  It was 19.99 less my Gold 20%, so $15.99 then I had a $5 off coupon, $10.99 plus I got $5 back in UP Rewards so in total I paid $5.99.

I am going to describe my journey as I sample these products for a week or two to see if they will be new skin regimen.  I need one!  I have been using the same products for the last 14 years and have recently started breaking out on my forehead mostly but really all over!  Ugh! So here we go...........

What is eclos?  Well, here is what the manufacturer says:

• Eclos Headband (This was great because I needed one to hold my hair back :)

Detailed Directions on each bottle:

• Facial Cleanser Skin Prep: Massage a quarter-size amount of cleanser onto damp skin, using circular motions. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Follow with desired Eclos treatment. Use twice daily.
• Cellular Activator Face Serum: Smooth a light amount over clean skin morning and night. May be used underneath Eclos Moisture Therapy Regenerative Cream to intensify benefits.
• Moisture Therapy Regenerative Cream: May be used alone, or for optimal results, apply over Eclos Cellular Activator Face Serum. Use once daily, morning or night.
• Restorative Eye Cream: With ring finger, gently pat a small amount of cream underneath each eye. For best results, apply morning and evening.
• Instant Radiance Facial Scrub: After cleansing with Eclos Facial Cleanser Skin Prep, massage Instant Radiance Facial Scrub on to clean, wet face, using the fingertips and gentle, circular motions. Be careful not to get scrub in eyes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Use once daily, every other day.
• Skin Renewal Clay Mask: Smooth a thin layer of mask over clean face and neck, avoiding the eye area. After the mask sets (around 5 to 20 minutes), remove by rinsing thoroughly with warm water. Use twice weekly for maximum benefits.

My Review:

DAY 3:

Two things are true for all of the 6 products in the starter kit: 1.  a little goes a long a way & 2.  they have a light semi-citrus, semi-hand cream smell.  I don't love the smell but I don't hate it either, it is just O.K.  All 6 products do feel quite luxurious on my skin and they have not made me break out.   Unfortunately, they have not produced an visible improvements yet however,  I was pleasantly surprised on Friday morning when I learned that they work GREAT as a base for my bare escentuals mineral powder foundation!  They actually work better as a base then what I am/was currently using (Oil of Olay Complete Moisture with spf 15).  The lack of spf in all of these products is definitely a down side.  For me, I guess it is not a huge deal since my foundation has spf but my foundation is a powder and I like having spf in a cream.  I don't know if the lack of spf will be a deal breaker, but it might, if these products do not deliver noticeably healthier skin as promised...

DAY 5:

Unfortunately I had to discontinue use.  :( It made me break out HORRIBLY on my forehead, temple, cheeks, above my mount and chin!! This will be a no-go for me!  I will still continue to use the eye-cream to see if that has any beneficial aging effects but the remaining items I game to my Mom who does not have sensitive skin and will not break out from it.  I will update you in a week or so on the eye cream and also how my Mom is making out with the rest of the trial kit!
